Overview
Bill Check ("we", "our", or "us") is a simple app for tracking your recurring monthly bills and getting reminders before they are due. We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app handles, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data. Bill Check is built to be private by design: the bills you create stay on your device and are never sent to us. The app does send a small amount of anonymous, pseudonymous usage analytics to help us improve it — this is described in full below. By using Bill Check, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
Information We Collect
Bill Check does not require an account and does not collect personally identifiable information such as your name, email address, contacts, or location. The following information is created and stored locally on your device only, and is never transmitted to us: • Bills you create (name, amount, due day, recurrence, category icon, notes) • Per-month payment status and amounts you enter • Reminder preferences (which days before the due date, and the time of day) • App preferences (theme, language, currency) Separately, the app sends a small amount of anonymous, pseudonymous usage analytics to our own analytics service, ITRN Hub. This never includes any of your bill content — see Anonymous Usage Analytics below.
Anonymous Usage Analytics
To understand how Bill Check is used and to improve it, the app sends limited, pseudonymous usage analytics to ITRN Hub — the internal analytics platform operated by ITRN Labs. This analytics is pseudonymous and is not tied to a Bill Check account, because Bill Check has no accounts or sign-in. We use this information only for product analytics, feature adoption, conversion measurement, app-health monitoring, and improving the app. We do not sell this data, and we do not use it for advertising or ad profiling. What is sent: • A random, app-generated anonymous identifier, created on first launch and stored on your device. It is not your name, and it is not a device identifier or an advertising ID. • The event that occurred — the app being opened, a bill being added, or a support tip being completed. • Your platform (Android or iOS) and the app version. • A random identifier for each individual event. • For a "bill added" event: the recurrence cadence (for example, monthly) and whether the amount is fixed or variable — never the amount itself. • For a "support tip" event: the tip tier, the store product identifier, and the amount and currency of the tip (its purchase price) so we can total support revenue — never any of your bill amounts. • The date and time the event is received by ITRN Hub. What is never sent to analytics: • The bill's name or title • The bill amount • The due date • Payment status or payment history • Notes • Category • Reminder content • Your name or email • Your contacts • Your location • Payment-card or bank information • Receipt contents The bills you create, and everything in them, remain stored only on your device. ITRN Hub runs on infrastructure provided by Supabase, which acts as our backend and database service provider (see Third-Party Services).
Notifications
Bill Check can send local notifications to remind you about upcoming bills. These reminders are scheduled entirely on your device based on the bills and reminder settings you configure. No notification content is sent to or processed by any server. On Android, reminders use the system AlarmManager and require notification permission. On iOS, reminders use the system notification framework. You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings, or turn off reminders for individual bills inside the app.
Data Storage and Security
All of your bills, payment history, reminder settings and preferences are stored locally on your device using secure platform storage. This bill content never leaves your device. The only information the app transmits is the anonymous usage analytics described in Anonymous Usage Analytics and the purchase information needed for optional in-app purchases. Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all locally stored data. We recommend noting down any important information before uninstalling, as deleted local data cannot be recovered.
In-App Purchases
Bill Check is free. It offers optional in-app purchases ("tips") that let you support the app's development. They are entirely voluntary and unlock no features or content. Purchases are processed by the Apple App Store or Google Play. We never see, receive, or store your payment card or bank details. The limited transaction data needed to complete and validate a purchase is handled by the app stores and by RevenueCat (see Third-Party Services below).
Third-Party Services
Bill Check does not integrate any advertising services, and your bill content never leaves your device. The third parties involved are: • Apple App Store / Google Play — distribute the app and process any in-app purchases. We do not receive or store your payment information. • RevenueCat — a purchase-management service we use to process and validate in-app purchases across platforms. When you make a purchase, RevenueCat receives limited transaction data such as the product purchased, a transaction identifier, the purchase date, and an anonymous app-generated user ID. It does not receive your name, email, or payment details. See RevenueCat's privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy. • ITRN Hub — our own analytics platform, operated by ITRN Labs, which receives the anonymous, pseudonymous usage analytics described in Anonymous Usage Analytics above. It never receives your bill content. • Supabase — provides the backend and database infrastructure on which ITRN Hub runs, acting as our service provider (data processor) for that analytics. See Supabase's privacy policy at supabase.com/privacy. We do not sell your data, and we do not send your bill content to any third party.
Children's Privacy
Bill Check does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children. The app stores all information locally and requires no account. If you have any concerns, please contact us.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data at all times. You may: • Edit or delete any bill within the app • Remove all data by uninstalling the app • Contact us at support@itrnlabs.com with any privacy questions
Requesting Data Deletion
Your bills, payment history, and preferences are stored only on your device and are permanently deleted when you uninstall the app. The data that leaves your device is the anonymous usage analytics sent to ITRN Hub and the limited purchase information handled by our payment processor, RevenueCat, when you make an optional in-app purchase. The analytics is pseudonymous and not linked to your identity; uninstalling the app also stops any further analytics from your device. To request deletion of purchase data, or of analytics data, email support@itrnlabs.com with the subject "Data deletion" from the address associated with your purchase, and we will process your request.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the app or for legal reasons. Any material changes will be reflected here with an updated date. Continued use of Bill Check after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
